An optional extra, The Descent is an extreme abseil which follows an audacious route down one of Australia's highest and most rugged cliffs. At 300 metres in length it is ranked as one of the highest abseils in the world.

THE DESCENT - ONE OF THE WORLD'S HIGHEST ABSEILS
If you're thirsting for more adventure, take The Descent 300m multi-pitch abseil to the valley floor. Descending over towering, exposed faces and dangling beneath massive rock overhangs, you will be exploring terrain usually reserved for expert rock climbers.
To complete this epic adventure, a strenuous, multi-hour scramble through difficult terrain will return you to the gorge rim, exhausted but exhilarated.
Location: Mount Buffalo National Park, Victoria, Australia (approximately 4 hours from Melbourne).
Duration: Overnight (early afternoon to mid-morning for cliff camping only; finish late afternoon for cliff camping and abseil).
Inclusions: Instruction and supervision from two expert guides. A comprehensive training session, including multiple abseils and cliff ascents as required. Dinner and breakfast included. All safety equipment provided.
